It all started Christmas 2006 with a gag gift from my son, Jason. He gave me a life size cutout of a picture he found of me from the 70’s during my hippie days. It was quite funny but even more so when family and friends visiting our house had their picture taken with the cut out. Over the year, my picture (cutout) starting appearing in family and friends pictures. We started calling him the “Amazing Hippie” because of all the places around the world he had appeared.

During Christmas 2007, Jason told me that we should put the picture on a tee shirt to see if anyone would buy it. Family members wanted one but we wondered if others would. We started with about 45 shirts and they were all gone in a couple of days so we did more. Teenagers seemed to really like the shirt. Pictures were posted to MySpace pages then we received requests from people in Florida who said they would buy the shirt if it was on line so we started an online store. Then we had requests for other items so hats were added. As 2008 went by, we added items revolving around the peace sign to the online store and went to a few festivals. We found a lot of people were interested in our products. I wanted to expand the products so “I’m a Rotten Peach.com” was launched.

As the year passed, we received requests from businesses for screen printing. As that part of the business grew, we realized that we needed a store. We opened our store October 25, 2008. The funny name came from my initials and Jason’s.
